And I'm glad that you didn't solve the mystery for me or have her talk back. His arrogant attitude is the problem to escape: This world is the top and it will take care of us? The relationship between her and her husband is also intriguing, and there seems to be something about her that is alien to him, so there's a couple of levels that I see in here that fit in with the prompt. heidi http://biggerthanalasagna.blogspot.com/Heidihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02757679752138734026noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5686431431756062986.post-30853056754296751482012-06-07T23:31:03.487-04:002012-06-07T23:31:03.487-04:00The reason for likening the alien world to ours wa...The reason for likening the alien world to ours was that surprise ending I was aiming at, so I'm glad it worked out. The ending was welcome surprise, one which I think works really well. It is odd to think that other worlds could exist, though I don't think it will be discovered in the time I have yet to live. What intrigues me about this story is how one assumes that if there is life on other planets, it will resemble ours. Is this because we will not consider it intelligent otherwise? There is perhaps some irony in the idea that life on other worlds exists but it is not different from ours. No doubt, were life to be discovered and our species met, we would have to find out a common way of behaving, otherwise we could not communicate. In some ways, I think your words here bring home that idea.Chazinatorhttp://metanoeticpoetics.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5686431431756062986.post-7449110950032999492012-06-07T22:46:31.874-04:002012-06-07T22:46:31.874-04:00interesting...it is hard for me to believe we are ...interesting...it is hard for me to believe we are the only intelligent life out there....to one day find it would be rather fascinating...i wonder though what we would do if we did...and would it be beneficial to them?Brian Millerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00722940075884718007noreply@blogger.com
