A Square Poem

I simply had to try this.  The form is a Square Poem, Lewis Carroll style.  (Well, not exactly - there's only one Lewis Carroll - but the mathematical principle behind the form is the same.)

I so love this liberating feeling –

So uncontrollably the new me emerging.

Love the fresh perspective getting strong.

This new perspective sets me free,

Liberating me, getting me powerful, fearless.

Feeling emerging – strong, free, fearless, happy.

Now try looking at it this way:

I
so
love
this
liberating
feeling
so
uncontrollably
the
new
me
emerging
love
the
fresh
perspective
getting
strong
this
new
perspective
sets
me
free
liberating
me
getting
me
powerful
fearless
feeling
emerging
strong
free
fearless
happy

You can read it from left to right and from top to bottom!  Isn't this a cool form?
I had a lot of fun with it.

    1. Me neither! I was very excited about trying it. The coolest thing is that it sort of writes itself once you start. Fun!

  5. "Liberating me, getting me powerful, fearless."

This is the best! It makes sense and feels freeing although, having tried it, I know it is not.

  7. This was great! As Brian said, it's ironic that you chose a theme of liberation for such a constraining form! But it worked! High-five!

    1. Thank you very much! The theme just happened, somehow I didn't feel the constraints of the form - I was fascinated by it! My kind of math :-)

  10. Nicely done. I love the empowerment, motivating force within this one. Just think it's amazing so much of this could be fit perfectly within the Square Poem's parameters. Can tell you had fun doing this. Great read. thanks
