I simply had to try this. The form is a Square Poem, Lewis Carroll style. (Well, not exactly - there's only one Lewis Carroll - but the mathematical principle behind the form is the same.)
I so love this liberating feeling –
So uncontrollably the new me emerging.
Love the fresh perspective getting strong.
This new perspective sets me free,
Liberating me, getting me powerful, fearless.
Feeling emerging – strong, free, fearless, happy.
Now try looking at it this way:

You can read it from left to right and from top to bottom! Isn't this a cool form?
I had a lot of fun with it.

ha it is funny that you use probably the most constraining form i know to talk about liberation...and you nailed it...smiles...
ReplyDeletehey i added your link to the linky in the post as well...
It is funny! I didn't think about it as I was writing :-)
DeleteBrian, thank you so much, I totally forgot about Mr. Linky!
This is WAY COOL!! Never have I seen it before! Was it hard to do?
ReplyDeleteMe neither! I was very excited about trying it. The coolest thing is that it sort of writes itself once you start. Fun!
DeleteWonderful sentiment and very nice work on the form.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the comment!
Deletethis actually feel liberating, doesn't feel constrained to the words
ReplyDeletezealous wives
I'm so glad!
Delete"Liberating me, getting me powerful, fearless."
ReplyDeleteThis is the best! It makes sense and feels freeing although, having tried it, I know it is not.
Thank you, Susan! I had a hunch I'd enjoy this form and I did :-)
DeleteI like the liberating and happy flow ~ Very well done ~
ReplyDeleteThank you, Grace!
ReplyDeleteThis was great! As Brian said, it's ironic that you chose a theme of liberation for such a constraining form! But it worked! High-five!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! The theme just happened, somehow I didn't feel the constraints of the form - I was fascinated by it! My kind of math :-)
DeleteVery cool!
ReplyDeleteThanks! :-)
DeleteMy comment disappeared... testing...
ReplyDeleteSeems to be OK, your comment's back! (Don't know what happened..a mystery.)
Deletethe new me emerging..and new perspectives.. yep..always a good thing...i like
ReplyDeleteThank you, Claudia!
DeleteNicely done. I love the empowerment, motivating force within this one. Just think it's amazing so much of this could be fit perfectly within the Square Poem's parameters. Can tell you had fun doing this. Great read. thanks
ReplyDeleteThank you, Fred, for the nice comment and for the follow on Twitter :-)
DeleteGreat job!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
