November 2014 Poem-A-Day Chapbook Challenge: Day 11

We knew no clocks. We ruled the hours at will:
We quickened them, or slowed their pace…One day
We broke them into moments – each would fill
A lifetime to the brim. We did not pay
Again the hours we’d borrowed, for we knew
No clocks. No time. No space. But “me and you.”
