"but I never wave bye-bye"

In 1986 I watched "Bad Blood" ("Mauvais Sang") by Leos Carax.
It had a great scene with the soundtrack of David Bowie's "Modern Love."
It was the first time I heard David Bowie.

I was fourteen, and both the movie and the song made a huge impression.
I still love them today.
It's "love that comes quickly, strikes quickly, but which lasts forever."

  1. David Bowie strikes me as an innovative and brave entertainer. He was the early version of a 'gender bender' dressed with make-up and feminine garb much earlier than Boy George and the recent phenomena of Adam Lambert. Interesting individuals! RIP!

    1. I don't know David Bowie's creative work that well, but several songs have stuck with me since I heard them. A charismatic artist, one of a kind. An avid reader, too.
