'Birth of a Poem' (The Sunday Whirl)

Today's challenge from the Sunday Whirl:

'Birth of a Poem'

Thousands
Of fluttering
Little wings flash
Before
My eyes,
Blowing away the
Thatched
Roofs of
The forgotten tales.
Dreams
Hard to
Grope with, bubbling,
Throbbing
Inside my
Head, sizzling like
Stones
In the
Hearth of my
Soul,
Waiting for
Me to take
It
All apart,
Rebuild once more,
Open
The gate,
Set them free.
So
I can
Start breathing again.

Live for the Love of it,
The Happy Amateur

  4. The poem is great. I think with wordles that if we have to struggle, that often equals a good poem.

The expectant tone of this one is fantastic - a very encouraging read. :)

  6. Thank you very much Margo! I actually wrote it very quickly, and posted too quickly: as soon as it was up, I noticed the blunder I made..(I was preoccupied with far fetched ideas, and confused 'fetched' and 'thatched', oops!) :-)
