"One, Two, Three - God I See" (poem)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Wrote a poem for my tomorrow's CLOW class (Children's Liturgy of the Word.)

Fourth Sunday of Lent        John 3:14-21

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son”

 ~ One, Two, Three – God I See ~

God is three, God is one,
Unto us came God’s son.

Jesus – God – pure and kind,
Healed the sick, cured the blind,

God’s light shone, made them see:
God is one, God is three.

Father, Son, Spirit – God,
When you ask, we shall nod,

“Yes,” we’ll say, “we choose light
Over blindness and night,

We shall not follow sin,
We shall keep faith within,

It will show us the way,”
This is what we shall say.

And so happy he’ll be –
Our God – one, and three.

Live for the Love of it,
The Happy Amateur

    1. Here I go again: I cannot figure out your comment... (happened once before :-)
Let me see... maybe, you mean that I shouldn't be fooling myself thinking that kids might enjoy the class?..
All I can do really is make the most of my very little time with kids once a month or so. Some of them go to Children's Liturgy every Sunday, some - don't. Those who don't are not particularly interested. But some are. And everyone behaves! :-) I enjoy it, and do the best I can. And I enjoy writing poems for classes, too.
Here's my lengthy reply to the comment I'm not even sure I understood!
