Wordpress Global Attack!

Apparently wordpress blogs are under a massive attack.  Might be a good idea to change your password and make it as strong as possible. Do not use "admin" as your username!

I was perplexed by a stupid youtube video I bumped into on the highly respected literary blogs, and this morning I read about the attack, and now it all makes sense.  Here's the article:

  1. I read about this in someones comments on another site...might have been from you.

I have noticed some 'hokey' stuff. But I've made it clear to Anonymous visitors that they are not welcome. I don't like someone poking in as Anonymous and then leaving an add to a 'dumb' ad or link. And I just screen mostly everything new. At least the spam catcher does its' job. I don't post spam either. I just think that if it is recognized as spam I shouldn't have to get it at all. I've only gotten two legit pieces of mail in two years in the spam folder.

    1. All the anonymous comments I've been getting are computer generated, not written by a real person, but I guess, blogger sees them as legitimate: they haven't been going into spam. So, yes, I have to screen every comment, too...
