'Children's Chorus'

A prompt from We Write Poems: Congregate.





‘Children’s Chorus’

They are a part of something really grand -
They know this much as they fill up the stage,
The little ones are just six years of age,
It might be hard for them to understand,

Or maybe not.  In simple black and white
They stand like one.  Aware of their cause,
They hold their breath, before takeoff they pause,
All eyes on her… And then her hands take flight -

And music starts.
