"Color" (September Haiku, Day Two)

I'll respond to this haiku challenge by writing a string of haiku, adding one each day - more like a long poem.  I hope that by the end of the month I will have told a story...

It’s summer still.  Fall
Will lower the bridge over
Her castle’s moat.  Wait.

Color in her cheeks,
She’ll let you in her castle,
When golden leaves fall.

To be continued...

  4. Nice... kind of what I'm doing with the Sunday Whirl wordles with my story verse. Only I'm adding one a week... well so far.
Yes...to see what happens... one just doesn't know until the words are on paper :)

  5. Is the color in her cheeks embarrassment or the fever of anticipation?
